Tomorrow we ride!

ALS affects many parts of the body, most notably

the skeletal and respiratory (breathing) muscles.

Doug and I started our day with Danny and Kristen in Pittsburgh with Danny cooking us breakfast. We then drove 4 hours to Cincinnati and were able to have lunch with Kristen's parents, Meg and Frank.

Dave Foster and his wife Maryanne and their little dog Scout were waiting to welcome us into their beautiful home as Steve Lopez soon arrived on a flight from Boston. Last minute planning, some amazing carbo loading with a great fettuccine meal made by Maryanne and a fun visit from fraternity brother Jim Venezia better known as "Paunch". Paunch reached out to the Alpha Delta Phi brothers to ask them for donations to offset the cost of the logistics of the ride and told us that he was able to raise an whopping $5000 to help cover gas, lodging and food! What phenomenal news! He then presented Doug with a book of special memories and stories that was complied by his fraternity brothers. It was a very touching moment of reconnecting with incredible memories from years gone by!

It's a bit cold here in Cincinnati and Rod has told us he will be riding tomorrow in a snowsuit! I am hoping for sunny weather with little to no wind.

The fundraising continues to blow us all away and we have now increased our goal to $100,000.

Dave was interviewed by WLWT - TV and it is expected to be aired locally here in Cincy tomorrow morning.

We are convening at the Alpha Delta Phi house at Miami University tomorrow at 9:00am. We will be in the saddles by 9:30am and pedaling toward Boxford. Rod has set up a live tracking via Twitter if anyone is interested: @oxford2boxford

Thanks for checking in on us. More to come!
