Home Sweet Home!!!

5000 people in the United States are diagnosed with ALS each year.

Thank you for following our journey. We made it home safe and sound to Boxford, MA today complete with a police escort, a bag piper, a band, bubbles, balloons, food, media, signs and lots of friends and family cheering us on. It was spectacular to say the least. I am filled with gratitude and awe of what my friends pulled off to welcome us home. Led by my dear friend Susan Warner, and joined by Claudia Worth, Meg Moran, Joanne Spofford, Emily McIlvaine, Mark Warner and so many others, we were just amazed at the welcome that greeted us. A special thank you goes to Chief Jim Riter of the Boxford Police Department and my cycling friends who joined in for the last leg. John O'Rouke, Matt Sullivan, Dave Hardin, Mark Peterman, Margaret McCarthy and Linda Carpino. I have an incredible sense of love and gratitude to the crew that held together for three weeks; Dave, Steve, Gio, Rod, Doug, Rick, Scott, and Charlie. I felt so privileged, loved and cared for by each and everyone one of you.

I am exhausted and don't have the words to fully describe what has just transpired. I will try to write more in the next few days, but for now, please know how much your support, prayers, and love have meant to us over the last 3 weeks. Our goals were two fold; increase awareness of ALS and raise funds to find a cure. We certainly feel we have accomplished both! As of right now, the total we have raised, although not all checks are recorded on the web page is over $117,000!

We will be hosting a celebration at our home tomorrow - 6 Pheasant Lane in Topsfield at 12 noon. If you are in the area, stop by to say hello.
